SAVON is a modular seating system designed by CB Design Lab for KUKA Home Italia, defined by a composition of distinct yet coordinated volumes. The system is based on elementary modules—rectangular, square and semicircular—that can be combined into both linear and articulated configurations. Curved terminal elements and connecting pieces introduce directional variation, allowing the layout to expand while maintaining formal continuity. Soft radii and continuous edges reduce visual rigidity and support a fluid spatial arrangement. Each module is conceived as an independent padded volume, with visible junctions that express the modular logic. Backrests and armrests are designed as movable cushions rather than fixed elements, enabling flexible positioning and multiple seating scenarios. The slightly recessed base enhances the perception of lightness, while the continuous upholstery ensures visual consistency across configurations. SAVON balances geometric clarity with formal softness, offering a modular system adaptable to different spatial needs.
