Recipient of the iF Design Award 2026, BeatCouch is an integrated seating system, designed by CB Design Lab for Kuka Home and developed in collaboration with Kuka Home Italia, that synthesizes advanced acoustic performance with ergonomic domesticity. The project explores the convergence of high-fidelity hardware and industrial furniture design, seamlessly embedding speakers, oscillators, subwoofers, and wireless charging components within its rounded, monolithic volume. This island-like morphology is conceived to accommodate diverse social and entertainment scenarios, providing an immersive multisensory experience that synchronizes auditory perception with physical haptic feedback. By housing complex technological modules within a clean, soft-edge profile upholstered in durable, high-performance microfiber, BeatCouch achieves a formal purity that balances technical innovation with a contemporary, welcoming silhouette.
