The project is defined by a continuous formal sign that integrates the shell and supporting structure, achieving a synthesis between structural necessity and ergonomic comfort. The backrest section—defined by a wide-radius curvature—evolves laterally without interruption to generate the armrests, resolving the transition between components into a single, coherent volume. The geometry has been optimized to provide natural postural support, maintaining a formal purity suitable for both high-traffic contract environments and residential spaces.

LUCE, by CB Design Lab for Minyi, is a plastic chair imagined for educational and training environments. The shell, which is very light and shaped for maximum comfort and excellent ergonomics, is inspired by the hexagonal shape of beehive cells, which return in the distinctive, specially designed texture of the backrest. The cutout in the lumbar area increases the flexibility of the shell and is playfully reminiscent of a smile: a wish for joyful industriousness to anyone who uses this chair.
